IC 410 – The Tadpole Nebula

Description
IC 410 is an emission nebula located in the constellation Auriga, about 10,000–12,000 light-years away. It is known as the “Tadpoles Nebula” because of the presence of dense molecular gas and dust structures with a characteristic cometary morphology, stretching for about 10 light-years. These structures are shaped by ultraviolet radiation and stellar winds coming from the young open cluster NGC 1893 embedded in the region. Their appearance is defined by a denser head followed by long filamentary tails pointing away from the cluster.
